View Device Information

In the Device module, you can quickly access detailed information about any device. This feature is useful when validating configuration, firmware version, or sensor capabilities.

To View Device Information

  1. Go to Devices > Devices in the main menu.
  2. Select the Devices tab.
  3. Use the search bar or filters to locate the device you want to inspect or you can also scroll through the list to locate it manually.
  4. In the Actions column, click the View Device Information icon.
  5. The View Device Information panel displays the following details:

UUIDUnique identifier assigned to the device.
TypeHardware type (e.g., X-Shield).
CategoryProduct category the device belongs to.
SeriesSeries classification of the device.
CustomerCustomer associated with the device.
DealerDealer or partner managing the device.
LocationAssigned physical or logical location.
StatusCurrent operational status (e.g., Active).
ConfiguredIndicates whether the device is configured.
VersionInternal version or build number.
FirmwareHardware platform or chip type.
Firmware VersionVersion of firmware currently running.
OnlineWhether the device is currently online.
Last Activity TimeTimestamp of last device communication.
HubController the device is connected to.
POE TypePower over Ethernet mode used.
NetworkNetwork TypeDHCP or Static IP.
IP AddressCurrent IP address.
Location EnabledWhether the location setting is enabled.
MAC AddressUnique hardware identifier for networking.
DisplayThemeActive visual theme (e.g., Dark Theme).
Show NameWhether the name is shown on screen.
Show DateWhether the date is displayed.
Date FormatDisplay format for date.
Show LocationWhether the location is shown.
Show TimeWhether the time is displayed.
Time FormatDisplay format for time.
SensorsList of active sensors (e.g., Temperature, Humidity).
OtherDescriptionCustom description field.
6. (Optional): Click the device image to view it in full-screen mode if needed.
7. Click Close to exit the panel.

Why It Matters
Accessing detailed device information helps administrators verify connectivity, configuration state, and sensor setup—especially useful for remote diagnostics and compliance checks.
